The Writers Course is a new nationwide Writers Programme for British East Asian* writers to increase the number of BEA writers across the UK.

Over the course of ten sessions, participants will have an opportunity to develop their writing skills for live performance, meet top industry professionals, visit other theatres and galleries, and create a short piece of writing.

This course will be held on the last Saturday of every month beginning 25 April – October 2020 at the Royal Exchange Theatre, alongside fortnightly Go See trips to theatre or galleries with a writers focus.

  • Fill out the application form and email it along with up to 5 pages of written work (can be dialogue, a scene, a story, poetry or lyrics) to [email protected] with ‘Manchester Writers’ in the subject line

Financial support to help with travel costs is available through Royal Exchange Theatre Arts Pot scheme. Applications to the Arts Pot can be made once you have accepted your place on the Course.
