Writers Academy: Manchester 2020

In 2020, Yellow Earth launched the Writers Academy, a new initiative to increase the number of British East/Southeast Asian* writers across the UK. The Manchester course was geared to those living in the North West.

Students met online on the last Saturday of every month, developing their writing skills for live performance and creating a short piece of writing. In addition, there have been monthly Watch Parties, where the participants watch a theatre piece online and then have a video chat to discuss what they have seen.

Course tutor: Naomi Sumner
