An Open Letter to Theatre and Performance Makers

An Open Letter to Theatre and Performance Makers

We are looking for a British East Asian representative to be part of a new national task force of self-employed theatre and performance makers. You will tasked with coordinating wider conversations with BEA freelancers in our community, to join regular meetings with the task force, work on ideas with and for the task force, and to attend other meetings and events on behalf of the task force.

This group of freelancers will form a working group for the Society of London Theatre and UK Theatre. Information, ideas and needs will be fed directly into discussions with government and the 25 charities being  coordinated by SOLT and UK Theatre to support everyone in the industry.

This is a paid position, the equivalent of one day a week for 3 months, June, July and August. If you are interested, contact us at [email protected] with a few sentences about yourself and how you would want to shape the role to affect change at a grassroots and a national level.

Please read the open letter that Yellow Earth signed along with many other arts organisation. This describes the mission of the task force and why it is needed.
