Song Unsung: WW1 Chinese Labour Corps

As part of the Chinese New Year Celebrations 2016 in Trafalgar Square Yellow Earth Theatre and the UK Chinese Choir presented a 15min music theatre performance in memory of the 140,000 Chinese labourers recruited to work for Britain and France during the First World War. Chinese and British songs from the era were interspersed with letters and poems to create a rich tapestry of memory, hope and peace.
